Get paid to lead field trips!
Sam Kaplan | February 19, 2009Update: we are meeting tomorrow at 9 p.m. in Lunt Cafe to discuss field trip plans. Join us if you’re interested!
Harrell has settled on a project for his week at Haverford in March: like his recent project in Kansas City (see above photo), he wants students to lead field trips to interesting places, and we want to pay you $50 to organize one.
These field trips can range from visits to cool campus locations to stuff on the Main Line to places in Philadelphia. (We will pay any transportation costs or other costs that the field trip might require.) Field trip leaders will be paid $50 and will also be required to make souvenirs for field trip participants that commemorate the field trip and the place that is visited. These could be as simple as a button or a bumper sticker or a little zine.
Here are some examples of places you could go/things you could do:
• Take the Blue Bus back and forth
• Visit the Haverford School
• Visit the Ardmore ice skating rink
• Visit the playground by the Ardmore R100 station
• Visit Suburban Square
• Visit the Baldwin School
• Go to a yoga P.E. class
• Visit Haverford’s greenhouse
• Visit the Bryn Mawr Apartments
• Go to an interesting restaurant in Philadelphia
In conclusion, get paid to take people on a field trip!
Post a comment if you might be interested (you don’t have to be a Haverford student!).
This is a very interesting field trip!

Natalie | February 19, 2009Hey
I have a few ideas:
1.Walking through the houses that border Ardmore and Suburban square on the other side of the SEPTA…theres a run that I used to do through there that goes through some really pretty and also grossly extravagant homes…
2. Eastern State Penitentiary
3. Mutter Museum www.collphyphil.org/mutter.asp
But yeah, I’d be interested in leading any of the ones above also
